Equipment and Tech Reviews

JAM Paranormal utilizes some of the latest technology available for our investigations, but in addition to that, we also do constant research and testing on our equipment, especially the devices that are considered controversial. JAM Paranormal uses equipment that is scientific in nature. We do not use Ouija Board or dowsing rods. Here's the list of equipment we use and it's purpose, as well as any Tech Reviews that we have written.

Mini-DV cameras:
    Sony 120x Digitial Zoom Night Shot Handycam
    Sony 40x Digital Zoom Night Shot Handycam
    Panasonic Night Shot Handycam
    Sony Digital Handycam (two)
    ** IR lights extensions

All of these cameras help us capture the investigation. Some are set up for a fixed-position shot, whereas other cameras are carried along to document the investigation. 

Electro-Magnetic Field Detectors:
    Mel-Meter
    Extech EMF meter
    CellSensor EMF meter
    K-2 meters

The EMF meters allow us to find fluctuations in energy, whether it is natural or paranormal. The K-2 meter has been and can be used as a communication tool.

IR Thermometer
    IR pocket thermometer

This tool allows us to measure temperature in a specific area. It can help locate potential cold or warm spots during an investigation.

Voice Recorders
    Olympus digital voice recorders
    Sony digital voice recorders
    MacBook Pro (built-in mic, Soundtrack Pro)
    iBook G4 (built-in mic, Soundtrack Pro)

Voice recorders allow JAM Paranormal to not only document the investigation as it goes on, but it allows us to try and capture either disembodied voices or EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena). The difference between the two is the aforementioned can be heard by the human ear whereas the latter is heard only after the investigation when listening to the recording.

Ovilus X
    The Ovilus X is a Talking ITC device designed for experimental use. It has the following features: TECH REVIEW
